Dennis M. Schuster

Dennis Schuster was born and raised in a working class family in East Los Angeles. After serving in the United States Army, including a tour of duty in Vietnam, Mr. Schuster received his Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University in 1974.

 

In 1979, Mr. Schuster received his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine Law School. Shortly after, in 1981 he started his own private practice, which is still in business today.

 

Mr. Schuster built his law firm on the principle of serving the needs of men and women going through divorce, dealing with child and spousal support, special education disputes, child custody issues, and other complex family-focused law matters.

 

As an experienced attorney, Mr. Schuster is best known for his deep commitment to and compassionate for his clients, and individualist approach to each and every client’s case.

Carmen Chaidez, Esq.

Carmen Chaidez is an associate attorney at our Family-Focused Law Firm. Ms. Chaidez received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish with distinction from Whittier College. Thereafter, Ms. Chaidez went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Whittier Law School in 2015.

 

While pursuing her law degree, Ms. Chaidez served as a law clerk to the Los Angeles Superior Court, where she gained a unique opportunity to view cases from the perspective of a judge. Prior to joining the Law Office of Dennis Schuster as a full-time associate, Ms. Chaidez worked diligently as a Paralegal in our offices.

 

Ms Chaidez has been admitted to the California State Bar and is fluent in Spanish.

Szkall-picture

Thomas S. Szakall
Attorney at Law

Thomas S. Szakall is an associate attorney at our Family-Focused Law Firm.
Mr. Szakall received his Bachelor of Arts from Cal State University in Los Angeles in Economics. Thereafter, Mr. Szakall received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego in 1974.

 

Upon admission to the bar in 1974, Mr. Szakall was employed by the District Attorney’s Office in San Diego, trying over 28 criminal cases by jury. In solo practice he has handled criminal, personal injury, family law, civil, jury trials, and various business matters.

 

Mr. Szakall had tried 52 cases, civil and criminal, before a jury. These include misdemeanor, felony, personal injury and business matters. His civil trials include medical malpractice, legal malpractice, wrongful death and civil rights violations. He has completed “innumerable” arbitrations and depositions, handled a wide variety of motions and wrote over ninety appeals and writs, civil and criminal.

Hadassah Lynn Foster
Advocate

Hadassah Lynn Foster is a special education advocate. Ms. Foster received her bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations from the University of Southern California. She served as the Associate Director of USC’s McNair Scholars Program, she developed expertise in the area of college success for students with a variety of challenges.

Ms. Foster has more than 17 years of experience in assistive technology, dysgraphia, autism spectrum disorders, college preparation and success for students with disabilities, 504 Plans, IEPs, parent/school communications, eligibility, the impact of other health issues, civil rights, ADD & ADHD, evaluations and assessments, due process, stay put, mediation, least restrictive placement (including home/hospital studies), dyslexia, chronic health issues, nonverbal learning disorders, executive function skills, prior written notice, educational access, and ensuring that k-12 students receive a free appropriate public education.

She is deeply committed to the simple fact that every child can learn and has the right to an education.
